Experience Finnish Sauna Culture

Community Sauna Haus in the Mountains

People relaxing in a wooden sauna

A shared sauna space rooted in Finnish tradition, where firepits, cold plunge, community, and mountain views come together

ABOUT THE HAUS

Where Finnish Tradition Meets Mountain Air

White Mountain Sauna Haus is a public contrast therapy studio built around traditional Finnish dry heat, cold plunge, and the simple pleasure of gathering together. Our restored barn looks out toward the White Mountains, and the outdoor firepits create a calm place to rest between rounds. The experience is relaxed and welcoming, with a focus on shared sauna culture and the natural beauty that surrounds us.

THE EXPERIENCE

How It Works

Three simple steps to plan your visit, know what to bring, and choose the pricing option that fits you best.

Book Your Sauna

Reserve a two‑hour sauna session and plan your visit ahead of time. Your booking includes time to move through multiple rounds of heat, cold plunge, and firelight at your own pace. After your session, settle in at the Nordic Café and Bar to enjoy some food and beverage to replenish after your session. A late night session is best accompanied by a drink on the deck.

What To Bring

All you need to bring is a bathing suit. Towels and robes are available to rent if you prefer not to bring your own, and we provide complimentary flip‑flops for use during your visit. And a water bottle keeps you comfortable between rounds.

Love this place. Well built and such a beautiful spot. Such a great place to relax, socialize and put down the phone for a period of time to engage with others. Also, to have a nice hot sauna and cold plunge. The owners did this valley a well deserved service. Will continue to come often.

The Haus

We transformed an 1890s barn into what is now a calm, welcoming space designed for heat, cold, and connection. Located less than a mile from North Conway on the Local Grocer campus, the Haus blends historic character with the simplicity of traditional sauna culture.

Layout of the White Mountain Sauna Haus

You’ll find onsite showers, cubbies for clothes (no locks), two distinct saunas, and three cold plunge tubs. Paired with sweeping views and welcoming firepits, the space makes it simple to recover and connect with others.
